Watch: I.O.I Put On An Energetic Retro Performance On “Immortal Song 2”

Project girl group I.O.I was one of many guests including Akdong Musician’s Lee Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Woo, Son Seung Yeon, Rose Motel, UV Muzie, and Clazziquai to appear in the Hong Seo Bum special of “Immortal Song 2.”

The episode aired on June 11 and featured the songs of Hong Seo Bum, who pioneered the rise of “group sound” in the 1980s.

I.O.I performed the veteran singer’s hit “It Is Fire Play,” combining retro dance moves with their characteristic refreshing, more modern look. The cover even features a rap break.

Although they did not take the final win on the show, the audience enjoyed their energetic performance.
