Jellyfish Says There's More To gugudan's Name Than Meets The Eye
Jellyfish Entertainment has spoken up about its new girl group’s official name gugudan.
“gugudan conveys the resolve of nine girls with nine different charms to sing and perform songs that are filled with hopes and dreams through,” a source from Jellyfish Entertainment explains. “It’s a name that feels familiar to people and means that all nine members will showcase their nine unique charms.”
In keeping with this theme, Jellyfish Entertainment revealed three members at a time over three days, at 9:09 a.m. KST each day.
The agency adds that there’s more to the name than meets the eye. “There’s yet another hidden meaning behind this team name,” Jellyfish Entertainment says. “That meaning will be revealed next week.”
