Taeyeon Explores Mix Of R&B And EDM For 2nd Mini Title "Why"

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon will be taking a new dive with her second mini album, to be released next week at midnight, June 28.

Including the title track “Why,” there are a total of seven songs of varying genres.

“Why” is trendy pop track, mixing R&B and EDM genres with a tropical house feel. She sings of escaping the mundane routine of everyday life, while at the same time wondering why it seems she is unable to escape.

From the electronic guitar and prominent snare of “I” to the jazzy “Rain,” “Why” will be yet another genre explored for Taeyeon, who is proving herself quite the versatile vocalist.

Taeyeon’s second mini album will become available both online and offline on Tuesday, June 28.
