Tiffany Talks About The Difference Between Going Solo And Girls’ Generation

On June 21, Tiffany recorded an appearance on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook!” This is her first appearance on the show following her solo debut.

In the interview, Tiffany talked about her long career with Girls’ Generation, who are approaching their tenth anniversary. “When I performed on music programs, I ran into TWICE. When I saw them, I really felt that I had become the sunbae.”

Yoo Hee Yeol asked her if she had felt nervous debuting in a group with so many people. “I was surprised but I accepted it,” she said. “But my parents were really worried. They wondered how I could do well in a group with nine people.”

Tiffany also shared about the differences between her solo work and Girls’ Generation. “People expected bright music from me, but I aim to be an artist with a diverse musical style. I practiced singing four hours a day and dancing for six hours a day.”

She added, “It’s very different singing for three and a half minutes as opposed to about ten seconds. I thought I’d be used to standing on the stage after ten years but I was still nervous. But I was glad that I could still be excited and passionate about music.”
