PD Defends Baro's Comments On "Please Take Care Of My Refrigerator"

A producing director of “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” spoke out on the controversy regarding comments B1A4’s Baro made on the show, where he asserted his personal taste to the chefs.

On July 5, PD Sung Hee Sung stated, “Baro clearly explained his personal taste to the chefs. No one on set was uncomfortable listening to him. The chefs didn’t think he was rude either. The filming went on in a good-natured atmosphere.”

He continued, “We think that the staff is to be blamed for the viewers’ discomfort that Baro was specific about his personal taste. We should have been more considerate and paid more attention beforehand, and we were unable to foresee that. It’s unfortunate that the reactions are like this.”

Baro appeared as a guest on the July 4 episode of “Please Take Care of my Refrigerator,” where a cooking mission was held with the theme of “What kind of chicken is this?”

He has been under fire for making comments such as “I’ve tried natto before and I don’t like it that much,” towards Chef Oh Se Deuk, who prepared his chicken with natto beans, and “I don’t like crispy dishes, I prefer soggy ones,” towards Chef Jung Ho Young, who used starch to make his food crunchy.

Baro’s agency previously issued an apology for the singer.
