Han Hyo Joo Is Literally Straight Out Of A Comic Book In New “W” Stills

New stills of Han Hyo Joo in the upcoming drama “W” have been released!

The actress plays a character who is literally straight from the pages of a manhwa (comic book), a phrase usually given to men or women who are unusually attractive.

Han Hyo Joo’s character, Oh Yeon Joo, is said to get sucked into the world of a webtoon where she meets the wealthy Kang Chul (Lee Jong Suk).

The webtoon in question is actually drawn by Oh Yeon Joo’s father, so Lee Jong Suk’s character has been her ideal type since childhood. Oh Yeon Joo is such a huge fan of Kang Chul that he comes to rely on her as a “cheat code” to navigate his comic book world.

The production staff stated, “We think it will be interesting to see how Oh Yeon Joo’s intense fan love plays out in the world of the webtoon, and how she changes Kang Chul’s life. Han Hyo Joo has been throwing her all into the character so you can look forward to her performance.

The drama begins airing on July 20.
