“Hit The Stage” Contestants Talk About Members’ Support And Goals For The Show
On July 22, the upcoming dance competition show “Hit The Stage” held a press conference with its idol contestants.
Block B’s U-Kwon said, “People recognize Zico and Park Kyung, but there are a lot of people who don’t know me. I was worried that my appearance on this program might wreck the image that they’ve built up but Zico gave me a lot of advice.”
SISTAR’s Bora said, “I think of it as a new challenge. Before my debut, I danced a lot, but after I debuted I only practiced SISTAR’s choreography. Through this opportunity I hope to try a lot of different genres.”
TWICE’s Momo said, “The other members came to support me during the filming. I was nervous because it was my first time on my own, but they gave me strength.”
Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon said, “Of all my members, Yuri cheered me on the most. She told me to enjoy the performances and stages I’ve always wanted to do.”
INFINITE’s Hoya talked about recovering from his ankle injury. “I was a little worried because of the injury, but I wanted to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Thank you for worrying about me.”
The producing director (PD) Choi Jung Nam also addressed concerns that the show would turn into a battle of the fandoms. “In order for that not to happen, we are working to input comments from a judges’ panel. We will also incorporate the judgments of the professional dance teams.”
“Hit the Stage” airs its first episode on July 27 at 11 p.m. KST.
