Assistant Editor (contract)

As an assistant editor, you will be working from home under a flexible schedule. Duties will include writing/editing/publishing articles and curating content. The position is paid.

Requirements:

  • Strong command of English grammar
  • Ability to read and translate written Korean
  • Ability to write fun and engaging content
  • Strong communication skills

Senior Assistant Editor (contract)

As a senior assistant editor, you must be available for a five-hour period between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST during weekdays. You will be working approximately 25 hours a week. Duties will include writing/editing/publishing articles and curating content. The position is paid.

Editorial Intern (contract)

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes? Join us at our office in Seoul! Our interns are fully involved in the Soompi editorial team, assisting in all stages of the editorial process. As an intern, you do everything we do, and you will also have the opportunity to create and publish your own original work.

The internship period is expected to last 3 months, with the possibility for extension. The position is paid and you will be working at the Soompi Seoul office in Sinsa-dong from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., 5 days a week. The internship will begin ASAP.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with K-entertainment and culture
  • Strong command of English grammar
  • Ability to read and translate written Korean
  • Ability to write fun and engaging content
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, fast learner

Experience in personal blogging, social media networking, Photoshop, or photography is a plus.
