Agency Team Manager Sentenced To Prison For Sexually Assaulting Rookie Actresses
A team manager at an entertainment agency has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting rookie actresses under his company.
On August 6, the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court, under the chief investigator Hong Soon Wook, ordered that Mr. Jung Mo be sentenced to four years in prison and 40 hours of sexual violence treatment.
In their statement, the court said, “The defendant raped the victims when they fell asleep after drinking alcohol. The repeated nature of these assaults is particularly criminal and strong punishment is recommended because of the victims’ severe mental trauma.”
Mr. Jung was responsible for the recruitment of rookie talents into the agency. This past February, he was accused of sexually assaulting the rookie actress “A” while she slept after drinking at the entertainment agency’s director’s house. He was also charged with assaulting another actress, “B,” who was sleeping next to “A.”
This case follows closely on the heels of another recent case involving an entertainment agency and sexual assault.
