I.O.I Unit To Appear On "Weekly Idol" Following Cancellation In April

Fans can look forward to seeing I.O.I’s new unit on “Weekly Idol”!

“It’s true that I.O.I’s unit will be appearing on ‘Weekly Idol,'” a source from cable television network MBC Every1 confirmed on August 9. “They will be recording on August 24.”

I.O.I’s planned appearance on “Weekly Idol” earlier in April of this year fell through, so this will be the I.O.I members’ first time on the show, albeit as a sub-unit.

Composed of Im Nayoung, Jeon Somi, Zhou Jieqiong, Kim Doyeon, Kim Chungha, Choi Yoojung, and Kim Sohye, I.O.I’s new seven-member sub-unit released their first track “Whatta Man (Good Man)” on August 9 at midnight KST.
