The Court Battle Between Kim Hyun Joong And His Ex-Girlfriend Is Not Over

The court battle between Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend (hereafter referred to as “A”) is not over yet.

According to the Seoul District Court, on August 24, A filed an appeal of the court ruling ordering her to compensate Kim Hyun Joong in the amount of 10 million won (approximately $91,400) for defamation and stress, among other things.

Previously, A had sued Kim Hyun Joong for 1.6 billion won (approximately $1.5 million) in damages for emotional stress from the miscarriage of her first pregnancy. However, the court found the evidence insufficient and ruled in favor of the defendant, Kim Hyun Joong.

At the time of the initial ruling, Kim Hyun Joong’s side said in a statement, “With this ruling, all of A’s claims have been revealed as lies. Kim Hyun Joong will see the remaining lawsuits through with determination, and will faithfully carry out the remainder of his military service.”
