Seohyun Wants To Shed Her Girls' Generation Maknae Label Through Acting

Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, who is appearing in the drama “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo,” recently participated in a pictorial with fashion magazine Grazia.

In the drama, she plays Woo Hee, the last princess of Baekje, who abandons her identity in order to carry out a revenge-based assassination on the royal family.

“I’m not a young girl anymore,” Seohyun said in the interview. “I wanted to show that I’ve matured through acting. I always regretted that I was only seen as the maknae of Girls’ Generation. I want to let people know that there are a lot of sides to me, and thought that acting would be a good way to change my image.”

So what kind of person is Seohyun? “I think I’m fun and honest,” she said. “I’ve had people tell me that I make them laugh. People see me as very upright, and I can be that way, but I can be silly too.”
