SBS Monday-Tuesday drama “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” will be airing director’s cuts of its first three episodes.

On August 31, a source from SBS told OSEN, “For the ‘Scarlet Heart: Goryeo’ reruns on [September] 3, we will air director’s cuts for episodes one to three.”

It looks like this decision by “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” is in response to viewer criticisms that the first two episodes were incoherent and difficult to understand. Through airing the director’s cuts, “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” seems to be trying to reengage viewers, as the drama’s ratings have not lived up to the high anticipation leading up to its premiere.
