YG Reveals Surprising Expectations For Bobby's And Mino's Music Chart Results

With iKON member Bobby’s solo single out, and WINNER member Song Mino’s track coming up, YG has released a statement on their activities.

A source in YG recently stated, “Mino and Bobby’s music chart results? With ballads being stronger, nowadays we don’t have huge expectations for hip hop music in regards to music charts. The chief pursuit of an artist is to be able to enjoy the music with the general public. It’s a strong hip hop track. We’re hoping that the energy of these two will explode on stage.”

More importantly, Bobby and Mino also communicated the value of standing on the stage more than getting a good chart placement. Another source from YG stated, “The artists are already satisfied by the quality of the track and the music video. Bobby’s heart is filled with the desire to stand on stage with these songs. They will be performing on this week’s ‘Inkigayo’ as well as the Japanese Area tour.”

Meanwhile, Mino is set to release his solo single “Body” on September 8 12 a.m. KST.
