"Idol Star Athletics Championships" Shares Photos Of BTS, GOT7, TWICE, MAMAMOO, And More
With MBC’s Chuseok special “Idol Star Athletics Championships” less than a week away, the network has shared photos from behind-the-scenes of the competition!
This fall’s “Idol Star Athletics Championships” was filmed on August 29, and will air during the Chuseok holiday on September 15. It features idol group members battling it out in archery, track, rhythmic gymnastics, and futsal. Although the special was originally planned to be only one episode, it was recently revealed that it will be airing over two parts as usual.
Of course, in addition to the sports, some fans’ favorite part of the special is the interaction between idol groups that we often don’t get to see. There’s plenty of that in these photos, as well as cute moments between group members.
Groups that took part in this season’s special included AOA, Apink, ASTRO, B1A4, B.A.P, BEATWIN, Block B, Brave Girls, BTOB, BTS, Cosmic Girls, EXID, FIESTAR, GFRIEND, GOT7, Hello Venus, KNK, Lovelyz, MADTOWN, MAMAMOO, MAP6, Melody Day, MONSTA X, Oh My Girl, Snuper, SONAMOO, TWICE, U-KISS, UP10TION, and VIXX, as well as Heo Young Ji. Eric Nam, Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, and TWICE’s Sana also took part as MCs.
