"Idol Star Athletics Championships" Shares More Fun Photos And First Glimpse Of Rhythmic Gymnastics

MBC’s upcoming Chuseok special “Idol Star Athletics Championships” has shared some more photos from the events!

The 2016 Chuseok special of the seasonal show was filmed on August 29, and features idols from 30 groups competing in track, archery, futsal, and a newly added event: rhythmic gymnastics. The special will be airing over two back-to-back episodes on September 15.

The network has already shared lots of great photos from behind-the-scenes of the events and the opening parade, and they uploaded even more on September 12! MBC also shared the first official glimpse at the rhythmic gymnastic events.

This time around, the photos are organized by team, with GOT7, Block B, and TWICE in team A; BTS, EXID, Heo Young Ji, Melody Day, and Snuper in team B; VIXX, MONSTA X, GFRIEND, and AOA in team C; B1A4, BEATWIN, Lovelyz, Hello Venus, and ASTRO in team D; Apink, BTOB, FIESTAR, KNK, and MADTOWN in team E; Oh My Girl, UP10TION, Cosmic Girls, and MAP6 in team F; and B.A.P, SONAMOO, MAMAMOO, Brave Girls, and U-KISS in team G.

The newly revealed photos from rhythmic gymnastics feature Cosmic Girls’s Cheng Xiao, who studied dance for more than ten years in China, and TWICE’s Mina, who practiced ballet for eleven years. There will be other contestants in the event, including Lovelyz’s Yein, FIESTAR’s Cao Lu, and more, but their photos weren’t included by MBC in this batch.
