"Idol Star Athletics Championships" Promises Close Races Between Legends And New Idols

The upcoming Chuseok special of “Idol Star Athletics Championships” will feature idol group members competing in track and field, rhythmic gymnastics, futsal, and archery.

MBC is revealing new details about the track and field portion of the competitions. Apparently the dash for the gold medal for the male idol members is between seven-time gold medalist BTOB’s Minhyuk, five-time medalist B1A4’s Baro, and dark horse SNUPER’s Woosung. Furthermore, the sprint amongst the male idols is so close that the finalists are determined by mere seconds.

As for the female idol members, GFRIEND’s Yuju aims to win another gold medal after winning last time. This time Oh My Girl’s Binnie, TWICE’s Chaeyoung, and Lovelyz’ Yein will be challenging her as they run for medals.

Viewers will be able to watch who wins when this Chuseok special airs on September 15.
