Jung Hyung Don To Make Debut As Screenwriter With Web Film

Comedian and TV personality Jung Hyung Don, who is making a return from his hiatus, will soon be debuting as a screenwriter!

Korean film production company HJ Film announced on September 19, “Comedian Jung Hyung Don will be making his official debut as a writer along with actor Shin Hyun Joon through a joint Korean-Chinese web film.”

Jung Hyung Don took some time off from his variety shows starting last November due to anxiety issues, but recently announced his comeback to the entertainment world through a planned return to “Weekly Idol” later this month. It’s reported that he wrote the script for this new project while on hiatus, and that it’s a comedic fantasy film.

The web film is a joint project between Korea’s HJ Film and the Chinese production company New Power Film. Shin Hyun Joon is heading its production as the founder of HJ Film, and the producing director (PD) is said to be Yoo Jae Hwan, who recently produced the hit movie “Tunnel.” The film is slated to begin shooting in the first half of next year.
