Slow And Steady Wins The Ratings Race For

SBS’s current Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also called “Jealousy Incarnate”) continues to see its ratings rise.

The drama started broadcasting on August 24 and is currently well into its second half. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama started its first episode with 6.43 percent and ended with 9.31 percent. The first episode’s average nationwide ratings and metropolitan area ratings were 7.3 and 8.1 percent respectively.

In Episode 12, its latest episode, the drama recorded a rating of 15.63 percent. Due to this, its average nationwide and metropolitan area ratings have risen to 12.3 and 13.5 respectively.

The drama’s lowest ratings were recorded during Episode 3 at 4.97 percent. The highest ever ratings were recorded during Episode 10 at 17.3 percent.

The largest jump in ratings during a single episode was during Episode 8, when the episode started off at 5.14 percent and jumped to 15.8 percent.

A source from the SBS drama department said, “We see the ratings increase as a sign that ‘Don’t Dare to Dream’ is steadily increasing in popularity rather than being a one-day hot topic. We expect the story to get much more exciting in the second half and we hope the ratings will continue to rise.”

“Don’t Dare to Dream” stars Jo Jung Suk, Gong Hyo Jin, and Ko Kyung Pyo in a drama about love, jealousy, and the competitive workforce in the news broadcasting industry.
