SHINee's Jonghyun Reveals Why Minho And Key's Lyrics Made Him Cry

October 4, SHINee held a comeback showcase — hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung — for their 5th album, “1 of 1.”

The group introduced each of the songs on the album. Talking about “Don’t Let Me Go,” Minho said, “Key and I wrote the lyrics for the song. Listening to the song with my eyes closed, I kept imagining something. I used those imaginations to write the lyrics.”

Jonghyun revealed that he cried hard after listening to the song. He said, “When we revealed the song first at our concert, I stopped while changing outfits and cried a lot. Personally, it was really moving.” Minho said he was surprised to see Jonghyun crying, and that he thought he hadn’t seen correctly. “When I asked him why he was crying,” Minho said, “he told me it was because the song is so sad.”
