EXO's Lay Sees International Success On Charts With "What U Need"

Following his success on YouTube with 1 million views in less than 24 hours, EXO’s Lay is making large strides with his newest solo release, “what U need“!

According to a news report on October 10, the song not only marked first place on Chinese music charts Xiami and Alibaba Music within one hour of its release on October 7, but also saw momentous results on charts worldwide.

The music video ranked first on Thailand’s iTunes music video chart and third on United States’s. The track itself impressively recorded second on the Pop chart of iTunes, right behind Bruno Mars, making Lay the most successful Chinese singer yet on US music charts.

In addition, “what U need” marked first in Thailand and Turkey, and saw high results on the charts of Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, and Malaysia as well.
