Park Bo Gum Talks About Red Velvet's Irene And His Unforgettable

On October 27, Park Bo Gum sat down for an interview and talked about his experience as a former MC for KBS’s “Music Bank.”

The actor shared how he changed due to show, saying, “I’m a poor speaker, so I was worried. But thanks to ‘Music Bank,’ I grew in my speaking skills and became more conscientious and bold.”

Park Bo Gum and Red Velvet’s Irene worked together as MCs until they stepped down in June of this year. The two had great teamwork, and many viewers commented on how well they suited each other. “Irene and I worked well together, but we weren’t close enough to contact each other. Honestly, I don’t even know her phone number,” he explained.

Park Bo Gum shared how “Music Bank” is special to him, saying, “The show was an unforgettable experience. It was a time when I could communicate with fans. The concept of a work commute was also refreshing. Plus, I got to wear a school uniform through ‘Music Bank’ when I didn’t get a chance to wear one for ‘Reply 1988.'”

The actor also revealed his hopes to appear in a music-related project, saying, “I’ve always wanted to do a project much like the film ‘Begin Again,’ where music is a theme. I want to act in a scene where I love music and interact with it.”
