TWICE Reaches Top Spot With

Two rising girl groups are battling it out for the top spot this week! Last week’s champion, I.O.I’s “Very Very Very,” which was written by JYP, is up against JYP Entertainment’s TWICE with their new song “TT.”

“TT” won with flying colors this week, moving up 10 spots to become our new No. 1 song! This song is the title track of TWICE’s third mini-album “TWICEcoaster: LANE 1,” and is a dance song with a trendy pop melody. “TT” swept all the music shows last week and was only 20 points short of a perfect score. Congratulations to TWICE!

The champions of the last two weeks, I.O.I’s “Very Very Very” and BTS’s “Blood Sweat & Tears,” both fell one spot to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

There is only one other new song in the top 10 this week. Debuting at No. 10 is BLACKPINK’s “Playing With Fire.” This song is one of the two title songs from BLACKPINK’s second single album “SQUARE TWO.” It’s an R&B, dance track with an intense drum beat, rhythmic piano patterns, and a unique synth sound. Each BLACKPINK member’s unique voice is highlighted throughout this song.
