SECHSKIES's Non-Active Member Go Ji Yong To Join "The Return Of Superman"
A new family will be joining KBS2’s “The Return of Superman!”
On November 30, producers of the show revealed that SECHSKIES’s Go Ji Yong agreed to become a fixed member after much consideration. While he made a brief appearance on MBC’s “Infinite Challenge,” this marks the first time the former idol will be active in the entertainment world since the original disbandment of SECHSKIES back in May 2000.
They also said that they hope that many fathers who work regular jobs during the week and mainly see their family on the weekends will be able to relate to Go Ji Yong.
He is currently working in the business sector, and has a three-year-old son with his wife, Heo Yang Im.
Expecting that this news may come to a surprise to many, Go Ji Yong explained, “As a patriarch of a family, I may not be able to promote a SECHSKIES member, but I decided to appear [on the show] in order to keep a promise I made with the fans.”
He previously stated that he would try hard to be with the fans once more through an area he could participate in.
Go Ji Yong also said that he wished to make lots of memories with his son, Go Seung Jae, through this opportunity, and become a better dad. “I was always sorry that I couldn’t spend more time with my son because of both my and my wife’s busy work lives,” he revealed.
He will begin filming sometime in the beginning of December.
