SM Art Director Reveals How She Had To Adjust f(x)'s Image After Sulli's Departure

An art director from SM Entertainment recently shared how she had to adjust f(x)’s image after Sulli officially left the group back in August of 2015.

On November 30, art director Min Hee Jin participated as a speaker at the 4th “K Content Insight” event. During the event, the art director shared a story behind f(x)’s “4 Walls” album, saying, “After Sulli left, the group was re-organized into four members, but it was really hard to create a new image for them.”

“Since a visual member left, we had to figure out how to cover that. We were also tasked with making them appear as a solid and complete group,” she shared, explaining the thought process that went into f(x)’s “4 Walls” album.

Meanwhile, art director Min Hee Jin has worked on creating content for many SM Entertainment artists such as SHINee, f(x), Red Velvet, EXO, and NCT.
