MAMAMOO Dishes About Their Epic Blue Dragon Film Awards Performance

MAMAMOO appeared on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin Young’s Midday Song of Hope” and talked about their recent performance at the 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards, where they incorporated names of actors into their song.

The members said, “Our company came up with the idea of changing the lyrics. At first, all four of us were nervous. That event is infamous for the lack of reactions you get when you perform on stage. But we decided to just go for it.”

“From the beginning of the song, we got the feeling that we were going to get a good response. The atmosphere of the room really lightened up once we mentioned Kim Hye Soo, and it only got better from there. We were able to enjoy the performance,” they explained.

Hwasa stated, “I’ve been a fan of Kim Hye Soo since I was in kindergarten. I love movies, and I’ve always kept my eye on her. I can now say that I’ve succeeded as a fan [with this performance].”

Moonbyul said, “During the performance, there was a moment where I had to point at Jung Woo Sung and say, ‘If I drink this in one go, will you go out with me?’ During rehearsals, I thought I would be so embarrassed saying that to him, but I think I was more nervous during rehearsals than on stage.”
