WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon Discusses The Dangers Of Fame On "Flower Crew"

WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon confessed that he was once swept up by his sudden rise to fame.

The singer brought up the topic while eating with Ahn Jung Hwan during their appearance on SBS’s “Flower Crew” on December 18.

He stated, “[Back then,] I felt like I was in a daze, and I let the fame get to my head. I would purposely go to places where there were lots of people and wanted everyone to recognize me. I thought I was the best.” Ahn Jung Hwan shared a similar experience and said, “That happened to me too. It’s hard to deal with fame when it all comes at once. It really does some damage to you psychologically. But you were able to realize that very quickly.”

Kang Seung Yoon added, “I saw the kind of music my seniors in the industry were making, and I thought I was so silly for thinking that what I was doing was good enough.” He concluded his confession with an expression of gratitude, “I cried a lot when I was a trainee. I cried because of the hardships I faced in life. I was so happy when I was asked to be regular on this show. I don’t have a source of income when I’m not working, so having a steady and regular source of income is a blessing.”
