Watch: EXO's Baekhyun Asks Near-Impossible Question About His Personal Song Preference (Cue: Enter Heechul)

On the December 22 episode of Channel A’s “Singderella,” EXO’s Baekhyun made a surprise cameo appearance through video.

“Singderella” is a relatively new music talk show program where panelists listen to audiences’ concerns, personally select songs to encourage them, and also sing the songs. It involves games as well, where the cast members and guests have a chance to guess various songs.

Since veteran singer Byun Jin Sup was one of the guests, Baekhyun relayed a fitting quiz question to everyone on set. He asked, “Byun Jin Sup has a lot of famous songs, many which I love as well, but which one of his songs do I want to remake the most?”

While the other cast members like Moon Hee Jun were flabbergasted at such a specific question, -although Lee Soo Geun was happy about the EXO appearance-, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul looked gleeful instead.

Known to be close friends with Baekhyun in real life, he commented, “Is it alright if I answer this correctly right away? We have very similar tastes. He likes songs in minor keys.”

After momentarily hesitating between “Laura” and “Back To You Again,” Heechul correctly guessed that it was the latter song, and subsequently performed a small rendition as per the show’s guidelines.

During the rest of Baekhyun’s video, the EXO member explained, “I’ve appeared on a show [“Fantastic Duo”] with Byun Jin Sup before. At that time, I watched him sing live for the first time, and I was really moved by his performance. I chose this song because I really want to sing it one day as well.”

After listening to Baekhyun’s confession, Byun Jin Sup commented, “I hope he does [perform it] one day. I’m looking forward to it as well. I’d really like it.”
