Rookie Co-Ed Group K.A.R.D Are Like Real Siblings In Celebratory Broadcast For 5.5 Million MV Views
On January 11, new co-ed group K.A.R.D held a live broadcast through Naver V Live to celebrate surpassing 5.5 million views (combined) on their debut music video “Oh Nana!”
The broadcast began with a “practice room” version of “Oh Nana.” Jeon Somin said, “Our music video has surpassed 5.5 million views. It hasn’t even been a month since we debuted, so I’m thankful that we can celebrate this achievement through Naver V Live.”
They also performed the song with switched parts, with BM performing J.Seph’s part, Jeon Jiwoo performing BM’s part, Jeon Somin performing Jeon Jiwoo’s part, and J.Seph performing Jeon Somin’s part.
“Now that I’m singing it, it’s a lot harder than I thought,” J.Seph said. “I thought that Somin’s part was low, but it’s higher than I thought. I had to sing it an octave lower.”
The members also showed viewers some behind-the-scenes photos of each other, including a snapshot of BM and Jeon Jiwoo “fighting” over food and labeled “realsiblings.jpg.”
“It was 3 or 4 in the morning,” Jeon Jiwoo recalled. “BM had stolen the donut that I had bitten into.” BM added, “I really like donuts. But it looks like Jiwoo is winning here [in the photo].”
The group also switched dance parts, with the girls taking on the guys’ part and vice versa. Jeon Somin and Jeon Jiwoo danced well to the boys’ rap parts, but BM and J.Seph made everyone laugh with their rendition of the girls’ “butt” dance.
K.A.R.D also revealed that they are already making plans for another comeback. “In order to show everyone a new side of ourselves, we are in production for our next album,” Jeon Somin said.
J.Seph said, “It will be a song about life.” BM added, “It’s different from ‘Oh Nana,’ but it’s a really good song.”
