Watch: Akdong Musician Hilariously Assesses Differences Between Dances Of JYP, YG, And SM Groups
Singing and composing aren’t the only things this talented brother-sister duo can do.
During another appearance on the January 14 episode of MBC’s “My Little Television,” Akdong Musician showed off their dancing skills as they revealed the differences between dances from SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment.
They first evaluated dances from JYP Entertainment, specifically using Park Jin Young himself as an example. “He places importance on waves,” Lee Chanhyuk stated before demonstrating.
Shaking his body in a strange, seaweed-like fashion, he looked amusingly similar to many of Park Jin Young’s actual dances, and how he moves “like he’s wiping something.”
Moving onto YG Entertainment, the siblings pointed out that if JYP Entertainment’s dances tended to be more smooth and fluid, then YG’s were more masculine and powerful, even for girl groups.
Once again, Lee Chanhyuk put on his dancing shoes and started imitating the “bounce” that many of his agency’s choreographies include, before he “bounced” his way into Yang Hyun Suk‘s signature move from the 90s.
Finally, they took a look at the final company, and explained, “SM Entertainment is angles. Angles are the basis for their sharp, intricate choreographies.” But, that wasn’t all. Lee Chanhyuk said, “It might be because they have more members [in their groups], but they like “cloning.” Of course, the siblings once again demonstrated what they meant, and added ninja-like sound effects.
Watch their scarily accurate but absolutely hilarious interpretations below!
