Watch: Kyuhyun Hilariously Starts His Morning By Performing Song Mino, TWICE, And Super Junior Tracks
Super Junior member Kyuhyun surprised and delighted the crew of “New Journey to the West 3” when he went above and beyond their expectations!
Kyuhyun traveled to China with his fellow cast members Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, Ahn Jae Hyun, and WINNER’s Song Mino for the popular tvN variety show. In January 15’s episode, the crew tried to wake up each of the cast by playing “wake-up songs” for them.
As the crew played the Chinese version of Kyuhyun’s “At Gwanghwamun,” Kyuhyun got up out of bed and sleepily headed out into the courtyard, where he immediately started singing along. After a couple lines, he headed back into the room, where Kang Ho Dong complimented him on the song.
To try to get Song Mino to wake up and come outside, they then turned on Song Mino’s track “Fear” from “Show Me the Money 4.” But Kyuhyun appeared back in the doorway instead, seamlessly transforming into his alter-ego, rapper “KyuwhY.” The crew couldn’t stop laughing as he rapped the track with plenty of swag, even leaning up against the wall and gesturing into the camera like he was filming a music video.
He slipped back into the room, and Song Mino was shown still peacefully asleep in bed. Just when the crew (and viewers) thought he was done, Kyuhyun stepped back out into the courtyard to continue! This time, the crew even joined him by yelling fan chants in time with his performance.
It seemed that the production team couldn’t help but see if Kyuhyun would continue his show, and so they turned on TWICE’s “Cheer Up,” which Kyuhyun recently performed at his solo concerts and on Yoo Hee Yeol’s “Sketchbook.”
They were left waiting for a bit as Kyuhyun didn’t come out right away, but footage from inside the room revealed that he was simply waiting inside for the chorus to start. After sleepily dancing to the famous moves, the crew then tempted him back out for an encore with Super Junior’s classic hit “Sorry Sorry.”
