Jang Geun Suk To Step Down From MC Position For Second Season Of "Produce 101"

While Mnet is preparing for the second season of “Produce 101,” Jang Geun Suk is unfortunately leaving his role on the show.

On January 16, a source from Jang Geun Suk’s side stated, “[Jang Geun Suk] will not be appearing in the second season of ‘Produce 101.’ The decision was made during a discussion with the production team.”

Mnet confirmed the news, saying, “While we did discuss it with Jang Geun Suk, he was unable to stay with us due to a scheduling conflict. The production team for the second season is currently looking for a new MC.”

Meanwhile, the second season of “Produce 101,” also known as the male version, is currently preparing their male contestants. However, with the recent resignation from the show’s director Han Dong Chul, Jang Geun Suk is also leaving the show.
