EXO’s Suho Reveals Main Difference Between Himself And His Drama Character
During a press conference on January 18 for MBC’s new experimental drama, “Three Color Fantasy” (working title), EXO’s Suho talked about his first lead drama role and what he focused on while filming.
“Three Color Fantasy” has a unique format, as there are three “mini dramas” that will air as one drama. Suho will be playing top star Woo Joo in the first mini storyline, “The Universe’s Star” (tentative title).
According to the leader of EXO, he could relate to certain emotions his character feels because of his own occupation as a singer. Suho explained how Woo Joo is someone who abruptly started doubting everything in his life, and that he focused on making this particular emotion come alive. He elaborated, “If I want to live, then Woo Joo is someone who wishes he could take his own life. [While acting,] I thought about moments in my life when I hating living the most.”
While their “top star” statuses might be the same, Suho still undergoes a complete image change in the drama, from what the public may be used to seeing. “Although Woo Joo is a bad boy, you end up liking him. But, I’m a nice guy [in real life,]” he amusingly added.
The singer also revealed how his fellow EXO members supported him. While they couldn’t really offer him a lot of advice because of their busy schedules, they usually asked him how he was doing and if he was getting some sleep.
“The Universe’s Star” will premiere as a part of “Three Color Fantasy” on January 26.
