Lee El Shows Easy-Going Charm In Grazia Interview About Granny Makeup And Men

Lee El’s visuals are stunning, but her professionalism and personality are even more charming.

Despite her tight schedule, the actress actively participated in the photoshoot for fashion magazine Grazia by volunteering suggestions, allowing the shoot to finish smoothly. The final result is a alluring shot of her draped in red, reminiscent of her character’s usual choice of colour in “Goblin.”

In the interview, the actress also shared more about her role in the drama, such as why she took on the role of the Samshin Grandma.

Lee El explained, “[It’s because that character] was the most powerful one that controlled all the other characters in the drama. Also, I thought that putting on granny makeup had a fresh appeal to it.” She then added with a laugh, “But it’s become a chore now.”

Talking about the difficulties of putting on the granny makeup, she said, “It takes five hours to put it on. [I feel] really sad when I have to remove it after filming just one scene. I always joke with the makeup team, ‘Let’s not meet ever again,’ but we’ve already met five times.”

The interviewer also asked Lee El if she’s ever asked anyone out the way she asked Yook Sungjae out for a drink in the drama. The actress’s reply was, “Never. I’m more comfortable drinking alone or with just one really close friend. People say I should manage the men around me, but there’s no man for me to manage.”
