After exhibiting her impressive acting in film “A Quiet Dream” and MBC drama “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo,” Lee Joo Young earned a spot in the list of “actors to watch out for in 2017.” During the photoshoot, she captivated the staff on set with her unique aura.
Having made a scene-stealing performance as Lee Sun Ok on “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo,” Lee Joo Young shared, “It was my first drama so I needed a lot of time to adjust. Midway through the series, I was still wondering whether I was playing the role well. I think I’ve completely adapted now. In the end, I still have a lot of regrets.”
The actress chose the 2016 movie “The Eternal Theme of Humanity” (working title) as the project that best represents her and explained, “It’s an extremely memorable project. I played my role as Gong Ye Ri with great care. It was a big role that I had a great desire to portray compellingly and had great affection for.”
When asked what kind of character she would like to play in the future, she answered, “I think when choosing a role, I look for one that naturally reflects my thoughts and values, since all the acting must come from me.”
