I.O.I Has One Last Win On SBS’s “Inkigayo” With “Downpour”
Just when you thought it was over, I.O.I has come back to grab one last win.
SBS’s “Inkigayo” released their charts for the fifth week of January on their official website on January 31. As the episode that was set to air on January 29 was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts, “Inkigayo” posted the official results online.
In first place was I.O.I’s “Downpour,” a song that was released on January 18 on various online music sites as I.O.I’s last digital single. The composition and lyric-writing for the ballad was done by SEVENTEEN’s Woozi, and the song has a sad melody and lyrics that compare the sorrow of a breakup to a downpour.
I.O.I was formed with members picked through Mnet’s “Produce 101” program. They held solo concerts from January 20 to January 22 as their last set of promotional activities as a group.
From February, the 11 members will be going their separate ways, sad as it may be.
Congratulations to I.O.I for their last win on “Inkigayo” with “Donwpour”!
