"Chief Kim" Overtakes "Saimdang, Light's Diary" In Contents Power Index Rankings

KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Chief Kim” has come in first place in the weekly Contents Power Index (CPI) rankings.

On February 6, CJ E&M and Nielsen Korea released the results for the fourth week of January. Out of 40 total programs, “Chief Kim” took the top spot by bringing in 253 points.

Second place was SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Defendant” with 238 points, while third place was SBS’s previous Wednesday-Thursday drama “The Legend of the Blue Sea” with 235 points.

While KBS’s “Chief Kim” started with 7 percent in terms of viewership ratings, it quickly jumped up to 13 percent ratings for its latest episode. Just one week ago, SBS’s “Saimdang, Light’s Diary” recorded first place in the weekly rankings. However, with “Chief Kim” steadily improving in viewership ratings, the CPI rankings have also reflected the change.

Meanwhile, “Saimdang, Light’s Diary” came in fourth place with 234 points, while fifth place was SBS variety show “The Law of the Jungle.”
