Block B Achieves All-Kill On Charts With

Block B’s new track “Yesterday” is a huge hit on the charts!

On February 6 at midnight KST, the group released their special single “Yesterday,” which was written and composed by member Park Kyung.

Very shortly after its release, Park Kyung shared a screenshot on Instagram of the track already at No. 1 on Melon. He wrote as the caption, “Thank you so, so much for giving us such an amazing result on ‘Yesterday,’ the song that I produced. While I was working on it, I was feeling a lot of pressure and was very worried but… I’ll make more good music for you in the future too. Thank you.”

Jaehyo also shared a screenshot and wrote as the caption, “Awesome, No. 1.” He followed it up with a tweet that said, “Ha, it’s so great,” as well as a funny Flitto message in which he yelled about how happy he was that they were in first place.

After the guys reached the top spot on six charts, member B-Bomb told news outlet Sports Chosun, “I couldn’t even have dreamt it, but I’m so happy because we’re at No. 1. The members are all happy because we’ve reached No. 1 after making a comeback for the first time in a long time as a full group.”

He added that the song must feel like a big reward for Park Kyung, who worked so hard on writing “Yesterday,” and thanked fans for getting them to the top spot.

Park Kyung later shared a screenshot of the track at No. 1 on all eight major Korean real-time charts, including Melon, Mnet, Bugz, Olleh, Soribada, Genie, Naver, and Monkey3, and thanked fans for the all-kill.

Jaehyo uploaded another voice message for fans after he woke up, in which he explained that he had just checked the charts again. He expressed how thrilled he was to still be in first place, and said everyone in their dorm was incredibly happy.

Park Kyung and U-Kwon also entertained fans with acrostic poems made with the syllables of “Yesterday” on Twitter.

P.O also wrote on the group’s Twitter on the evening of February 6, “Thank you so, so much. I can smile because of you, our BBC. Please keep listening to ‘Yesterday.’ Have a good day today too!”

As of 10:30 p.m. KST on February 6, the song is still holding the top spot on all eight charts.

Congratulations to Block B on their latest hit!
