10 K-Dramas That Are Perfect For A Chill Valentine’s Day At Home
Ah Valentine’s Day. For some, it’s a day to be extra lovey-dovey with their significant other without fear of judgment. For others….
‘Nuff said.
Either way, what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day (or Single Awareness Day) than to spend it with your favorite drama couples? Check out our picks below!
The best cure for coffee withdrawal is more coffee, but what about Gong Yoo withdrawals? More Gong Yoo of course! You’ll be seeing Gong Yoo from his semi-greener days in “Coffee Prince,” but he’s just as adorable then as he is now. Rounding out the “Coffee Prince” crew is Yoon Eun Hye, Lee Sun Gyun, Lee Eon, and Kim Dong Wook (the first Dong Wook Gong Yoo worked with!).

What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than to be surrounded by three cute guys? With humor, cross-dressing, and fluff, this fusion drama is perfect for anyone who wants pretty eye-candy (definitely talking about the hanboks) without the gravity of a full-length historical drama.

He picks her up! *squee*
Another one of Yoon Eun Hye’s hits, here she plays a bubbly high schooler who gets married to the prince of an alternative Korea. It seems like the perfect fairytale, except they’re forced into this whole shinding, and the male rival for Yoon Eun Hye’s character will also have you swooning. But of course, that’s where all the fun and hijinks come in!

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
A delightful tale of youth, this drama will make you feel so full from its warmth and heart that you won’t have room for all that discounted chocolate the day after Valentine’s. Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) and Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) are totally couple goals, and their swaggy journey in navigating youth will have you cheering for them all the way. Now the real question is: Where can I get a guy like Joon Hyung?

The famous coffee foam kiss
This drama was just a meme itself (before memes were really a thing). The amount of parodies and tracksuits the Korean entertainment industry went through after and during this drama was astonishing — and absolutely hilarious. As for the drama itself, it’s so adorable, and the chemistry between the main leads is great. With a dose of fantasy in the realm of body switching between the two leads (not something you see every day in dramaland), I thought the casting was spot-on as well. Kickass female leads are always refreshing to see.

The Moon Embracing the Sun
Romance, fantasy, and beautiful cinematography — what more can you ask for? Throw in a great cast, especially with heartbreakingly good acting from the younger ones, and you’ve got yourself one gem of a drama.

This drama captured our hearts in just two episodes. This couple has more chemistry in two episodes than many 16-episode drama couples out there. Kim Seul Gi and Yoon Doo Joon from BEAST star in this fluffy time-traveling drama with a tight plot (pay close attention to the beginning!) and loads of cute. So much swooning, and so many feels! (I need my reunion, Overlords of the Drama Universe!)

Funny, relatable, and perfect for all you singles out there, this drama reminds you that, hey, it’s okay to drink alone sometimes — especially if all your friends have dates on Valentine’s Day. Then it’s definitely alright. Bottoms up!
“Drinking Solo” is coming to Viki soon! Watch the trailer: [viki]https://www.viki.com/videos/1108457v-driking-solo-key?utm_source=soompi&utm_medium=drama&utm_campaign=best-k-dramas-watch-valentines-day&utm_content_id=947601wpp[/viki]
1% of Anything
So cute! I’m really liking Ha Seok Jin in these types of dramas. Fluff and romance through and through, this reboot of the 2003 drama is a light-hearted rom-com perfect for heavier days. Fake marriages and engagements always have the best hijinks with dashes of heart, and this one is no exception!
I’m Sorry, I Love You
An oldie, but a classic! If you’re in the mood for romance, but also for a good cry, this drama’s perfect. I guarantee when Park Hyo Shin’s “Snow Flower” hits, it’ll bring on all the feels.
