Ahn Jae Hyun And Ku Hye Sun Discuss Differing Approaches To Resolving Arguments As A Couple
It really seems that opposites attract.
During the most recent episode of “Newlywed Diary” that aired on February 10, the couple discussed how they resolve an argument in different ways.
Ahn Jae Hyun said, “Ku Hye Sun’s anger resets once she’s slept. She lets off steam by having some time to herself. It’s a trait you often see in men more than women.” He continued to explain, “But in my case, I try to resolve a situation on the spot. It’s difficult. When it gets to be too much, we take a moment and do our own thing for a bit before talking it out.”
In her interview with the staff, Ku Hye Sun stated, “I tend to become more rational once I’ve taken a moment to breathe and air out my thoughts. But my husband’s hurt feelings usually increase while I’m doing that.”
The honest confessions about their differences came when Ku Hye Sun tries to play the piano. The actress confessed that she rests by focusing on something, and she tries to have some “me-time” with the piano. However, she is unable to do so as her husband and pets interfere. Realizing that something is off, Ahn Jae Hyun doesn’t know what to do with the situation. After having some time to herself, Ku Hye Sun is feeling much better but Ahn Jae Hyun is hurt because she hadn’t explained to him why she wasn’t feeling good. The two then decide to split up and carry out their individual chores for a bit.
Having run a few necessary errands, Ahn Jae Hyun returns home to a sink full of dirty dishes. However, Ku Hye Sun sits him down to have a conversation about chores. This quickly carries on to a conversation about married life, and they form a deeper understanding of each other as the dialogue progresses. Ku Hye Sun thanks her husband for playing a more active role in doing the housework than he did in the beginning of their marriage, and Ahn Jae Hyun expresses that he is grateful for and sorry to his wife.
