Watch: Akdong Musician's Lee Chan Hyuk Explains Why Their Song

Meaningful songs are even more touching when they are based on reality.

Akdong Musician was one of the featured groups of artists for a special episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” on February 26.

The theme was “My 20s,” and fittingly, every audience member was in their 20s (by Korean reckoning).

During the standard Q&A session, Lee Chan Hyuk opened up about how title track “Last Goodbye” from “Winter” means a lot to him.

He started off by explaining how it’s based on his own personal experience. “I even cried while composing this piece,” he commented. “I think it’s the best piece that exemplifies the seperation that happens after a loving relationship between youth.”

His sister Lee Soo Hyun also chimed in, “I saw him myself. I was on my way to the bathroom, when I heard sniffling noises. So I went into his room to see what was going on, and I spotted my brother playing the guitar and recording the track while crying at the same time.

The duo also performed “Last Goodbye,” which you can check out below!
