BTS Partners Up With Japanese Management Company Digital Adventure To Expand Japanese Activities
BTS has signed on with Digital Adventure (DA), an affiliated Japanese company of KeyEast, to be their management company in Japan.
The company will be putting their full support behind the boy band, using their management knowledge and networks to help BTS shine.
DA is an entertainment company that not only runs two Hallyu-themed subscription channels, KNTV and DATV, but is also in charge of managing artists and distributing Hallyu content. The company currently works with stars like Bae Yong Joon, Joo Ji Hoon, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Soo Hyun, Lee Hyun Woo, Park Seo Joon, and Goo Hara. DA’s exclusive contract with BTS will not only strengthen DA’s competitiveness in content distribution, but it will also provide many opportunities for BTS to branch out as artists in the Japanese music industry.
A representative of DA stated, “BTS had been receiving a lot of love calls for interviews and fanmeets, even before they made their official Japanese debut in 2014. Last September, their second album “Youth” was released in Japan and made them the first overseas hip-hop artists to top the Oricon Weekly Album Chart.” They also added, “We will support BTS so they can be more active and participate in a variety of activities in Japan.”
