"Defendant" Reaches Highest Viewership Ratings So Far

“Defendant” is unstoppable!

According to Nielson Korea, episode 13 of “Defendant,” which aired on March 6, gathered average national viewership ratings of 23.7 percent, recording its highest ratings yet. This number is 0.4 percent higher than the drama’s previous all-time highest record achieved in episode 11.

SBS’s “Defendant” maintained its place at the top of its time slot, while MBC’s “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People” and KBS2’s “Perfect Wife” followed behind with 10.3 and 5.9 percent ratings respectively.

Episode 13 was about Park Jung Woo (Ji Sung) and his attempt to breakout from prison to meet his daughter Ha Yeon (Shin Rin Ah). He almost succeeded in escaping, but Cha Min Ho (Uhm Ki Joon) managed to find Ha Yeon before him and wickedly exclaimed, “I just won the game of finding your daughter.” The episode ends with this cliffhanger, making viewers wonder how Park Jung Woo will take revenge on Cha Min Ho.
