Uhm Hyun Kyung Dishes On The Truth Behind 12-Year-Old Kiss Scene With Kim Heechul

On March 16, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul appeared on KBS’s “Happy Together” along with Son Hyun Joo, Kim Sang Ho, Lee Soo Geun, and John Park.

During the show, the MCs brought up Uhm Hyun Kyung and Kim Heechul’s sitcom together 12 years ago, where they shared a kiss scene. Kim Heechul said, “It hadn’t even been a year since I debuted, and I was conscious of my image as an idol. I thought it would be okay just to kiss her on the chin, but the director caught me at it. Then I kissed the top of her mouth but the director told us to do it again. I asked her if it was okay to kiss her for real and she said yes.”

But Uhm Hyun Kyung said, “You say that like you did that on purpose, but I think you just couldn’t kiss properly.”

When Kim Heechul pretended to get angry, Uhm Hyun Kyung explained, “At that time, he closed his eyes too early, so there was no way he would know [where to kiss].”

She added, “There were so many NGs. It was my debut production too, and I didn’t know much, but I thought that Heechul was pretending to have experience when he didn’t.”

Kim Heechul then joked, “Since I was so bad at kissing, Uhm Hyun Kyung must have been the one to spread the rumor that I didn’t like girls.”
