Red Velvet’s Joy Reveals How Lee Hyun Woo And Lee Seo Won Playfully Stay In Character As Love Rivals
Imagine having these two adorable actors fight over you, even if it was just for fun!
During a Naver V Live broadcast held on March 20 in honor of their drama’s premiere, Red Velvet’s Joy and Lee Hyun Woo shared fun anecdotes from the set of tvN’s “The Liar and His Lover.”
A remake of the popular Japanese manga and drama of the same name, “The Liar and His Lover” is a youthful romance about how Lee Hyun Woo as Kang Han Kyul, a genius composer, tries to hide his identity from Yoon So Rim (Joy) while falling in love with her. Yoon So Rim is a bright high schooler, who is gifted with a pure and talented voice.
As if she were her character Yoon So Rim, Joy participated in a “ideal type world cup” to determine who her ultimate ideal type was. Of course, the first round pitted her two co-stars, Lee Seo Won and Lee Hyun Woo against each other.
Upon seeing the two names, Joy revealed how the two actors would often continue to stay in character and bicker, as if they were really rivals vying for her love. “They’ll fight over me. Even when we are resting, they will playfully joke, “Do you choose Han Kyul or me?,” the idol mused.
It’s no wonder that they’re so playful, given how they’ve mentioned that their chemistry is outstanding!’
