Lee Bo Young Is Confident Of “Whisper” Despite Pressure For Viewership Ratings

During the press conference for the new Monday-Tuesday SBS drama “Whisper,” Lee Bo Young honestly said that she doesn’t feel much pressure about getting high ratings.

The actress explained, “I try to pick interesting projects. My personal satisfaction matters more than the viewership ratings. I want to present a well-made project. I’m thankful that my husband [Ji Sung] has prepared a hopeful path for me [with his prior drama ‘Defendant‘] but I believe there is no need to compare this drama’s performance with the prior one. I am confident that this drama will be good because I am having a great time while filming it.”

Lee Bo Young’s taste in dramas seems to be made clearer with her decision to star in this drama. When noted that this is not her first time acting in a legal drama, the actress commented, “I’m not choosing these kinds of dramas on purpose, but I do like this genre.”

The actress also added, “I don’t discuss work related things with my husband. I haven’t been able to meet him much these days, so I didn’t have time to do so anyway.”

Meanwhile, “Whisper” is centered around the law firm Tae Baek and the relationship of two lawyers Shin Young Joo (played by Lee Bo Young) and Lee Dong Joon (played by Lee Sang Yoon).

“Whisper” will air as a follow-up to “Defendant” on March 27 at 10 p.m. KST.
