SBS’s “Running Man” seems to be in some trouble.

According to Nielson Korea, a viewership research agency, the first part of the April 9 episode of “Running Man” recorded 2.8 percent, while the second half recorded 3.4 percent. This is significantly down from last week’s episode, which recorded 3.9 percent in the first half and 5.1 percent in the second half.

This is the worst viewership records in the history of this show since it started in 2010. While the producers of the show are trying to revive it by adding new cast members Yang Se Chan and Jun So Min, it is unclear whether this move will bring the ratings back up.

The viewership is particularly poor compared to its competitors in the same time slot. The first and second parts of MBC’s “King of Masked Singer” recorded 8 percent and 13.6 percent respectively, and KBS 2TV’s “Happy Sunday” recorded 11.8 percent – much higher than that of “Running Man.”

Do you think the viewership ratings will rise again with the new cast members?
