SHINee's Key To Step Down From MC Position On "M!Countdown" After Two Years

SHINee’s Key will be stepping down from his longtime position as MC of Mnet’s “M!Countdown.”

On April 11, multiple industry sources reported that Key had decided to leave his position on the cable music show and that the April 13 live broadcast would be his final day on the show.

The reason for his departure is reportedly his busy overseas concert schedule as well as his new MBC drama, “Lookout” (tentative title).

Key has been a part of “M!Countdown” since March 2015 and has carried the show for two years with various other special MCs along the way.

A source from Mnet confirmed the news later on the same day, stating that they have not yet decided on a replacement and will continue to use special MCs for the foreseeable future.
