Bae Doona And Cho Seung Woo’s New Drama Kicks Off With First Script Reading
The cast of tvN’s upcoming drama “Forest of Secrets” (working title) gathered for their very first script reading.
Written by Lee Soo Yeon and directed by Ahn Gil Ho, “Forest of Secrets” tells the story of an emotionless prosecutor (played by Cho Seung Woo) who joins hands with a righteous detective (played by Bae Doona) to dig up the truth behind a murder case.
The two leads Bae Doona And Cho Seung Woo were joined by actors Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Shin Hye Sun for the drama’s first table reading. Director Ahn Gil Ho commented, “I feel nervous because it’s my first time meeting [all the actors]. I will try my best to bring to life Lee Soo Yeon’s solid script along with everyone’s passionate acting. Let’s create a drama that viewers will be able to remember for a long time.”
Cho Seung Woo plays prosecutor Hwang Shi Mok, who maintains a rational perspective after losing touch with his emotions. Bae Doona plays detective Han Yeo Jin, who is headstrong yet warm-hearted. During the script reading, Cho Seung Woo showed off his cold and charismatic acting, while Bae Doona demonstrated her stable and energetic acting.
Both Cho Seung Woo and Bae Doona are returning to the small screen after quite a long time. It has been three years since Cho Seung Woo’s role in “God’s Gift – 14 Days” and seven years since Bae Doona’s role in “Gloria.”
“Forest of Secrets” is set to air in June, taking over the time slot that “Chicago Typewriter” currently occupies.
