All Music Shows Likely To Be Canceled Due To Presidential Elections

It looks like there won’t be any music show performances to look forward to for the first week of May.

According to sources in the industry on April 17, all music shows are likely to be canceled for that week to make way for broadcasts related to the presidential elections.

It was already confirmed that KBS’s “Music Bank” and SBS’s “Inkigayo” will cancel their May 5 and May 7 broadcasts. MBC’s “Music Core” is still in discussion for canceling.

MBC Music’s “Show Champion” and Mnet’s “M!Countdown”  have also canceled their broadcasts for the week. It appears that music shows may be canceled in the second week of May as well as elections wrap up.

As such, it looks like the competition will be even fiercer between singers for the weeks at the end of May. It was relayed that some groups that had originally planned their comeback for May are postponing their comebacks to the beginning of June to try to avoid the chaos.
